The IMM Technique™

"Integrated Myofascial Release and Muscle Energy Technique"

The IMM Technique™ is not just another technique that has combined two already existing techniques together. It is an overall concept that trains health care professionals to view the patient's body as a whole. Although, it focuses on two key techniques; Myofascial Release and Muscle Energy Technique, it combines integrative assessment procedures, where we take the therapist into a step-by-step process to connect all the abnormalities in the musculoskeletal system to each other (if applies).

IMM Technique Introduction

See Program Outline
So many of the issues in the fascia, muscles, soft tissue and joints are interconnected and one can cause the other one. During the approach with IMM Technique™, you are trained to understand this concept and help the patient to understand how their body behaves as well. After this critical step, we will take you to the step-by-step protocol of addressing abnormalities with IMM Technique™. This includes working on the main complaint of the patient and also the cause of the main complaint. Finally, we will teach you how to select proper exercise plan for your client to maximize the benefits of IMM Technique™.

With over 11 years of teaching Myofascial Release and Muscle Energy workshops to manual therapists, Mohsen Talani, MD, has designed this unique combination of these two techniques for a more effective patient outcomes. The IMM approach, along with an appropriate Home Exercise Program (HEP) and complementary conventional techniques enables the therapists to evaluate their patients and care for them with a new perspective.
Throughout the program you will discover a standard protocol for each structure, which acts as a guide to therapists for the application of these techniques on their patients. As therapists should always practice within their scope, the IMM Technique™ is suitable for most manual practitioners such as massage therapists, physiotherapist, physical therapists, manual osteopaths and chiropractors.
